SA Branch Report
Julie Dundon SA Branch Chair
As 2025 draws to a close, many of us are busy preparing for festive celebrations in our workplaces. The SA Branch has enjoyed another vibrant year, hosting breakfasts, tours and dinners, and we look forward to continuing this momentum in 2026.
New Branch Chair
At our final Industry Breakfast, John Boland shared the news of our rebranding as Hospitality in Healthcare. The new name and logo were warmly received, with members and supporters offering positive feedback.
We are also delighted to confirm that Julie Dundon has been elected Chair of the SA Branch, with John Boland continuing as Vice-Chair. We thank Julie for her leadership and commitment and look forward to working together in the year ahead.
Julie began her career at Lyell McEwin Hospital, collaborating closely with catering managers including Brian Heinrich, Gary Kelsy, Stuart Merrylees, Michael Siegmund and Martin Minear. More than 30 years ago she transitioned into aged care, taking on roles as Food Services Coordinator across five ECH homes and later as Residential Site Manager at Flora McDonald Aged Care. Julie’s career reflects her dedication to quality, collaboration and innovation in healthcare dining.

South Australia was strongly represented at the National Conference in Melbourne, which was once again an inspiring and well-supported event. Congratulations to all award winners, with special recognition for our South Australian nominees and winners.
On behalf of the SA Committee, I extend warm wishes to all members and supporters for a Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year.
