Caterlink has completed the delivery of the commercial kitchen and cafeteria facilities for the new St John of God Midland Private Hospital in Western Australia, which opened its doors late August.

The new 123 bed hospital will expand access to private health services in the Midland region, with facilities including eight operating theatres and the area’s first interventional cardiology catheterisation laboratory.

As part of the development, Caterlink provided project management, equipment supply and installation across the hospital’s main kitchen, preparation and bulk cooking areas, cook-to-order stations, food service and holding areas, cool rooms, freezer rooms, warewashing facilities and dry goods storage.

The project also included the cafeteria located within the hospital’s main reception area, together with custom exhaust canopies, stainless-steel fixtures and specialised fabrication.

A key component of the project is the fully electric commercial kitchen, designed to support efficient day-to-day foodservice operations while contributing to the hospital’s wider sustainability objectives.

Caterlink worked closely with Built and St John of God Health Care throughout the project to coordinate the delivery and installation of the foodservice facilities. The project reflects Caterlink’s continued commitment to supporting hospitals, healthcare organisations and aged care providers with commercial kitchen infrastructure designed around operational requirements, staff needs and longterm performance.
