SA Branch Report
Julie Dundon SA Branch Chair
Our recent breakfast at the Adelaide Pavilion was a wonderful success, with 60 guests joining us for an energising start to the day.
The venue offered a beautiful backdrop and the breakfast itself was thoroughly enjoyed by all.
We were fortunate to hear from Morgan Pankhurst and Drew Grosser who delivered lively, insightful presentations that sparked great discussion and received excellent feedback from attendees. Their contributions added real value to the morning and helped make the event memorable.
A heartfelt thank you goes to Amy White and Michele Smyth, who graciously stepped in to host. Their warm presence and professionalism ensured the event ran seamlessly.
Committee
The SA Branch has recently farewelled Simon Mills from the Committee. Simon has taken on a new role that requires a significant commitment of his time. We extend our sincere thanks to Simon for his dedication, expertise and the positive impact he has made during his time on the Committee. We wish him every success as he embarks on this next chapter.
Tours
SA members recently enjoyed an engaging behind the scenes tour of Bidfood’s North Plympton distribution facility. The tour showcased Bidfood’s commitment to championing South Australian produce, featuring local favourites such as Barossa Fine Foods, Port Lincoln King George Whiting, Spring Gully condiments, La Casa Del Formaggio, and Beerenberg. Members appreciated the chance to see Bidfood’s supply chain in action and meet the professionals who keep it running so smoothly.
The morning concluded with morning tea – providing an ideal opportunity for networking and conversation. We extend a warm thank you to Mollie Evans for her support in organising the tour and to the Bidfood SA team for their hospitality and for delivering such an engaging and memorable event.
Annual Dinner and Awards Night
Our Annual Dinner was a great success with over 100 supporters and members attending the Crowne Plaza on Friday 7 August for fabulous food and live music.
We were fortunate to have Angelo Mignanelli address the members and present the SA Award winners, who you can read about elsewhere in this issue. We wish all winners the very best of luck for the upcoming National Awards.
