WA Branch Report

Cheryl Hughes WA Branch Chair

The WA Branch has just held its final event for 2025. Around 14  members and supporters pitted their golfing skills against each other at the Matagarup Mini Golf Course overlooking the Swan River, Optus Stadium and the City Skyline on a gorgeous summer evening.

The event was great fun and there were even a few ‘holes in one’! First, second and third place were hotly contested with only one point between each! Following the golf, the group moved onto The Camfield for drinks and pizza, enjoying an evening of networking to end the year.

As you would have already read, this year’s Conference was another great success and it was wonderful to see some of our WA Members in Melbourne for the event. Congratulations to all the winners of the National Excellence Awards. It was fantastic to see that our WA finalists did exceptionally well, taking home four out of the five categories including the Rosemary Ann Pirie OAM award. We look forward to the opening of the 2026 Awards nominations and encourage members to nominate any individual or team within their organisation who deserves recognition for the work they do in our fabulous industry.

Your WA Committee is busy working on a number of exciting events for 2026 and already have a few locked in.  We have our annual planning meeting in January, after which we will let you know the dates and details of our exciting upcoming events so you can slot them into your calendar.

We wish all members and supporters a Merry Christmas and a happy and successful 2026.
