President’s Message
Lisa Cranham National President
As we move through another busy and exciting year for Hospitality in Healthcare, I am pleased to share an update on the work being undertaken by your National Board.
The Board recently met in Hobart, Tasmania, where we spent a productive day reviewing our strategic priorities, governance activities, financial performance, membership growth opportunities and plans for upcoming conferences and events. While challenges remain, there is significant progress being made across many areas of the organisation.
One of our key focuses continues to be strengthening the foundations of Hospitality in Healthcare. Work is progressing on our governance framework and operational processes to ensure we remain a contemporary, sustainable and member-focused organisation. We are also continuing to streamline documentation, improve record management and strengthen the systems that support our committees and supporters.
The Board also reviewed our financial position and conference performance. While economic pressures continue to affect many professional associations, we remain focused on careful financial management. Our valued supporters, magazine advertising, conferences and events continue to play a vital role in supporting the work of Hospitality in Healthcare.
Planning for our Hobart Conference remains a significant focus. The conference venue has received very positive feedback and we have extended abstract submissions to encourage broader participation from across the industry.
Our Excellence Awards continue to recognise the outstanding achievements of individuals and teams across the sector. We encourage members, organisations and supporters to nominate colleagues who are making a meaningful contribution to hospitality in healthcare.
Finally I would like to thank our National Board Directors, State Chairs, committee members, supporters and members for their ongoing commitment to Hospitality in Healthcare. The passion, expertise and volunteer effort contributed across the country continue to drive our organisation forward and strengthen our profession.
I look forward to seeing many of you at our upcoming events and conference as we continue working together to advance hospitality in healthcare across Australia.
LISA CRANHAM National President
