President’s Message
Lisa Cranham National President
Season’s Greetings to all our members, supporters and colleagues!
As 2025 draws to a close, I want to take a moment to celebrate everything we’ve achieved this year and share some highlights.
Looking back, 2025 has been a year full of energy, connection and innovation.
This year has been particularly special as we officially rebranded to Hospitality in Healthcare, marking an exciting new chapter. Our fresh identity reflects our focus on excellence in hospitality within health and aged care and our ongoing commitment to innovation, collaboration and professional growth.
A standout moment was the National Conference in Melbourne, where members and supporters from across Australia came together to network, learn and celebrate our industry. The Culinary Competition had us on the edge of our seats as four talented teams went head to head, and Magic 120 – a new initiative giving our valued supporters the opportunity to speak for two minutes (120 seconds) each – kept everyone entertained as they dazzled and enticed us to visit their booths. We also enjoyed inspiring presentations from speakers across health, aged care, food, cleaning and leadership. The feedback from attendees has been overwhelmingly positive.
We also launched our supporter referral program, enabling supporters to grow our community by referring new members while receiving a discount on their supporter package – a win-win for everyone!
On the governance side, we continued refining our Governance and Operating Procedures Manual, keeping things clear, efficient and consistent across national and branch operations.

Looking ahead, preparations for the 2026 Tasmania Conference are already underway. It promises to be another fantastic opportunity for members to learn, network, enjoy amazing food and listen to engaging speakers.

To all our members and supporters: thank you for your energy, enthusiasm and contributions this year. Whether you joined events, shared expertise on committees or cheered on your peers, your efforts are the heartbeat of Hospitality in Healthcare.
On behalf of the National Board, I wish you a festive season full of joy, laughter and perhaps a little extra tinsel than last year, and a New Year brimming with opportunity, health and success!
Warm wishes,
LISA CRANHAM National President
